What is AEO, and how is it different from SEO?
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is the work that makes a business quotable by AI search engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot. SEO aims for a ranking position on Google; AEO aims for a mention in the answer itself. Do I own the website after BeaconSites builds it?
Yes. Your domain and your content are yours, and your site is plain HTML rather than a proprietary builder like Wix or Squarespace. If you ever leave, you take your site with you. While you're with us, we handle every update for you on the Care Plan.
